Too Much, Not Enough: A guide to decreasing anxiety and creating balance through intentional choices

by Tara Sanderson

Stop me when this sounds familiar… You are struggling with being an overachiever and perfectionism. You feel like you aren’t good enough, worthy enough, or just not enough in general. You are looking for ways to decrease anxiety and start rebuilding self worth. You try so hard to do enough for everyone that you don’t really take care of yourself. And all the while, you just feel like there isn’t enough time in the day. You put yourself on the back burner and make sure everyone else is taken care of. You have hard time deciding what you want because you are making sure everyone else is getting what they want. I have been there too. I have been a chronic apologizer. I have been a black and white thinker. I have had to work on defining truth, building boundaries, and learning how to make good decisions in life. I worried all the time that I would fail and that it would be a catastrophe. I worried about what people would think of me and practiced how to respond to things before they would happen. I have struggled with Imposter syndrome. I have always needed external rewards for what I do. Gold stars, A+’s, people commenting that they couldn’t get along without me.Over the years, I have learned some valuable lessons. Some from my own life and some from my career as a Licensed Psychologist. All of these lessons have changed the way that I think, act and live my life. I wrote this book to show you how to make the intentional choices that will allow you to take control of your life. By recognizing the choices, you have and learning to be more intentional in making them, you can reduce the regret that comes with feeling pushed into a decision. I want you to live a life you haven’t even imagined you could. A life of Fullness and Enoughness. A life of Worth. A life lived Intentionally with less guilt, shame, and stress. A life of more hope, more success, and more love where you can be your best self.

Movement is an existential necessity for man. It evolves from the moment the embryo is created in the womb. Movement is a primary parameter in assessing the proper development and health of the fetus, the baby and the toddler.Movement in early childhood is essential not only from aspects of motor competence. The brain develops through movement, therefore, it is the premier therapeutic tool for handling with a child's difficulties in various executive functions: motor, emotional, social, developmental, and more. CHILDREN THINKING IN MOTION is the only and one of its kind. It was written to give you - therapists, educational staff, and parents, of course - an experiential, enjoyable and surprisingly effective tool for therapeutic and developmental work with young children through movement and motor skills. The first part of the book you will find an explanation of the body's systems, and ways to identify the difficulties children experience with these systems. The explanation is written in simple and easy-to-read language, and summarizes the main points in the field of inter-sensory integration. The second part of the book will give you 20 enjoyable and easy to implement lessons in movement. The exercises are suitable for individual or group work with young children in every environment: in the home, the clinic, the classroom, the kindergarten, in the yard and in the playground. You can work with the children on the advancement and proper development of essential skills with the tools provided here. These effective tools are recommended even when facing a background of difficulties, impairments, disorders and various syndromes. All the tools presented in this book are based on a unique therapeutic approach developed by Nurit Kalev: The Cognitive Motion Therapy (CMT) approach to develop aptitudes and skills and overcome difficulties through the movement experience .The approach was developed on the basis of the principles formulated by her father, Dr. Aryeh Kalev (z"l), one of the first and most respected teachers of movement, and therapy through movement, in Israel.

Me, Too!: Child and Adult Sexual Abuse and Prevention

by Bierker MSW, Susan Sophie

Me, Too!: a Skills GuideHow to Detect, Prevent, and Heal for Thrivers, Therapists, Parents, and Teachers. It's not the current #MeToo movement that this book is about. This book is about the next one.In her experience as a therapist helping 100s of those whose lives were touched by what is now a media circus and the cause of political debate, Susan Sophie Bierker found that it's not the acts of violence and abuse that cause the most damage, it's the silence. The current "Me, Too" movement is breaking the silence, but not addressing the cause. And if the cause is not addressed, if the acts are not prevented, intervened with, detected early, and healed, the next wave of "Me, Too" will carry with it the shame of a nation because we'll know that it could have been prevented.* This book is for you if you want to know what to look out for in your neighborhood.* This book is for you if you want to know how to detect the early warning signs that someone you care about is in trouble.* This book is for you if want to know how to help heal yourself or a loved one.* This book is for you, if you, like Susan Sophie Bierker, are unwilling to stand by and allow another generation to suffer in silence, until they too can't take it anymore and stand up in sadness crying: "Me, Too".With your help, this book could be made required reading for every teacher, every parent, every teen. With your help, this book could change the course of a nation reeling under the impact of the current Me, Too movement. With your help, we could start a new movement, one that could be taken up by everyone in the country and taught to our sons and daughters so that 30 years from now a new cry will ring across this great nation, as everyone shouts out in gladness:NOT ME!

Become a Better Parent

by Matthew C Amos

Do you want to become a better parent? The sole or underlying purpose of my book is to help any parent reading it to become a better one. The many chapters address such a wide range of specific parental topics, looking at what I believe are some of the most important aspects of parenting, but are areas which don't necessarily or automatically come to mind. Every single chapter is written with the focus on becoming a better parent. I personally wanted to write a book on parenting, from a real-world parent's perspective. I don't focus on ideologies, philosophies or fantasy when it comes to parenting, I focus more on the realities that we face as parents. I believe that, with such openness and honesty throughout, real parents in the real world will be able to relate to many of the things which I address in this book, to ultimately help them become a better parent. Like many of us who believe they can get better at something and actively seek ways to constantly learn/progress, I consider parenting is no exception and I believe that there is so much in here for you, as it's all focused specifically on improving as a parent. This book will provide you with many specific ideas to consider that you can easily and immediately look to put into action, should you choose to do so. I would say that this is not your conventional parenting book, but in the end you will make the call on that. If something does have the potential to help you become a better parent, then surely it's worth looking at? Judge for yourself by reading this book, and assess whether it does help you to become a better parent, perhaps the most important job of all.

Do you feel like you are an open book, but not everybody has equal access to your pages? I wanted to be that way till the moment I understood that expressing myself through art is better than confiding in hypocrites. What do you do when the definition of love for someone is to be healed by the one who damaged them, but for you, it means to take the damage if it heals them? You wake up and walk away on a journey to healing. A journey filled with stages of losing yourself, denial, confusion, anger, loss of sanity, realization, acceptance, and gratefulness. You walk to a place of becoming stronger and irresistible. You walk back to safety. You rejuvenate.

Fascinating Womanhood for the Timeless Woman

by Dixie Andelin Forsyth

Sequel to the Bestseller that Birthed an International Women’s Movement!Over 50 years after the original book, the sequel to Helen Andelin’s Fascinating Womanhood is here. Originally published in 1963, Fascinating Womanhood sold over 5 million copies globally and was translated into 7 languages. As controversial as it was popular, the book also spawned a grassroots movement of classes where women could learn more about feminine influence in relationships and the home—classes that continue to this day in countries all over the world.>>>Towards a New, Enlightened FemininityThe sequel Fascinating Womanhood for the Timeless Woman sees Andelin’s daughter, Dixie Andelin Forsyth, pick up her mother’s mantle with the aim of ‘awakening an enlightened form of femininity in women, in order to inspire a noble masculinity in men and create a lifelong romance.’ With teachings that lean strongly on relationship roles—focusing on division of labor between task and relationship leaders—Fascinating Womanhood has also been called “the book feminists love to hate” and there’s no doubt that its sequel is set to raise eyebrows, particularly at a time when gender norms and roles are a hot topic. >>>More Important Now than EverWhile some may wonder whether these teachings have relevance within the context of a modern world, Dixie believes they have never been more important. “Fascinating Womanhood for the Timeless Woman holds the position that most cultures have lost the sense of ascendency that comes from proper cultivation of femininity and masculinity in women and men, respectively.Scroll Up and Grab Your Copy Today!

"It’s a powerful memoir of a mother’s undying love, faith, family, challenges, and the profound human spirit.” —Joan Marineau, Licensed Mental Health CounselorOne phone call shatters Marcie’s life—her son Hunter had suffered a psychotic episode that landed him in a mental hospital thousands of miles away. But even after he’s home and seemingly on the road to recovery, the voices in his head direct him to kill his parents and throw himself in front of a moving vehicle. It seems more than Marcie can bear, but by the grace of God, she and her family usher Hunter, and each other, through his psychotic breaks and the dire aftermath. But every day is a balancing act, one in which they never know which side they’ll land.Written from her mother’s heart, Marcie doesn’t sugarcoat the effects of drug abuse and mental illness, tackling head on the shame and seclusion that accompanies the life-changing diagnoses. Infused with grace and mercy, Shattering offers hope to those who face challenges that seem insurmountable.
