The Theory of God: To all haters and to all lovers (The theories Book 1)

by Chanchal

Finally, humans are saving the protector “the god” by killing god’s own child. I sat on my bed after taking bath and took the newspaper, written that, “27 killed and more than 100 are injured in terrorist attack”. It hurt me and others too, who thinks and feels like me. I was thinking who is God and why people kill others, in the name of him, at the same time when they all obey the God but in the name of different name. That day, reminded me a conversation with my daughter too. So, theory of God is about that conversation and some thoughts on that day. Chanchal,17 march 2016

All in all you will receive strength to press on.Excerpts from the book:"there are thousands of good reasons why you should not take action, but you need to find one good reason why you should""not all activity is progress""It worked because I made it work. I found out how to make it work and I made it work.""Deadlines put a certain level of pressure on us to perform. Without these deadlines, we just do what we want at sometimes unacceptable paces""You see, a partner cannot demand what he cannot give. If I expect you to go one mile for me, it should mean I can or have gone one mile for you too""Partners are so called because they join forces to achieve a common goal. More often than not if there is nothing being worked towards, it becomes a boring exercise. ""You will not find many people who will go through your toughest time with you and still carry a smile. TRUE Christianity is a MATRIARCHY / “Know God” MORE directly (gnosis)

by Z. Genevieve Thierry

The Father is God. The Son is God. The Holy Spirit is God. HUMANITY ABANDONED JESUS, GOD THE SON TO DIE ON CALVARY. HUMANITY ABANDONED FAITH IN GOD. WOULD GOD, IN TURN, HAVE ABANDONED HUMANITY? WHAT WAS THE PROFOUND RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JESUS AND MARY MAGDALENE? SHE WAS HIS ONLY DISCIPLE VISIBLE ON CALVARY. SHE WAS OUR LAST LINK TO GOD. WOULD YOU HAVE STOOD ON CALVARY WITH THE MAGDA? WILL YOU NOW? WHY DID GOD RESURRECT JESUS INTO CHRIST? BECAUSE HE SAW THE MAGDA. DO YOU WANT GOD TO SEE YOU? CAN YOU “KNOW GOD” MORE DIRECTLY IF YOU STAND WITH THE MAGDA ON A TRUE RECREATION OF CALVARY? She is God the Daughter. (COVER: The “orb and cross” is a Christian symbol of God’s power over the World. The “globus cruciger” is also, superimposed, the gender symbol for “female” rotated to the upright position. Recognition of the Magda’s place resonates in the “orb and cross”.) The True Christian Church of Mary Magdalene is led by a woman who is an apostolic successor to the Magda. Magdaleneist Christianity is a faith of closeness-to-Jesus-Christ-God-the-Holy-Spirit. The twelve abandoned Jesus to Calvary. Mary Magdalene of the Crucifixion-Resurrection was Jesus’ only disciple on Calvary. Her unbroken-faith is the reason God resurrected Jesus into Christ. The Magda’s apostles are your closest direct links to Jesus, the risen Christ, and God. Only a woman can recreate the True Calvary, the miracle of Calvary in the presence of a congregation. Mary Magdalene was anointed by Jesus twice and twice again. She was the last to speak with Jesus and the first to speak with Christ. She was anointed by Jesus’ Calvary blood and anointed by Christ’s first words. Stand with the Magda on a True Recreation of Calvary. “Know God”. Be seen by Jesus. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. Guide your family in knowing a more powerful Christian life.

The Day Free Energy Died: Nikola Tesla's Nightmare (Nikola Tesla - Suppressed History Book 1)

by Casper Stith

The Most Important Story You Have Never Heard!

While most associate ‘Tesla’ with a cutting-edge car company or an old heavy metal rock band, others recognize that this obscure figure was responsible for many of the electrical breakthroughs which power our lives.

It would not be a stretch to call Tesla one of the most important innovators in history, yet his most ambitious and important project - free energy for the world - was started but never completed.

In 1901, Tesla embarked on a mission to provide the planet with free, clean, unlimited energy. Tragically, construction was halted and the project killed before Tesla’s vision could be realized..

The project was not shut down for logistical or scientific reasons, but instead because NO ONE would provide funding to allow it to continue.

In this book you will learn:

How the technology behind Free Energy has been well understood, by some, for many years

How the concept of Free Energy has been erased from modern historical and scientific inquiry

That the dream of free energy has been silenced, but it is not dead

This book won’t waste your time with boring history and trivial facts, but instead gets to the heart of the matter.

To most, free energy is a New-Age pipe dream that is scientifically impossible. To those in the know, the technology behind free energy has been well known for many years.

To learn the truth about how close the world was to having Free Energy, as well as what can be done to revive the idea, download this book now.

FEAR VERSUS FAITH: THE BATTLE FOR THE CONTROL OF YOUR DESTINY (DISCIPLESHIP SERIES Book 1)

by ALEXANDER AGYEMANG

ABOUT THE BOOKI was once asked to speak at an intracity prayer meeting in Takoradi the third largest city in Ghana by the full Gospel business men’s fellowship international Western Region ‘A’. The message was meant to be a short exhortation so I kept praying asking the spirit of God to give me a word which will stir members to prayer. Then it dropped into my spirit ‘fear is also faith.’ The spirit of God showed me that this truth has eluded many Christians. The truth that instead of faith many practise fear which can also make invisible things real and things dreaded in the future manifest in the presence. He taught me that the practise of fear is very widespread. So that fearing for someone when there is a difficulty situation is seen as sign of caring for them. Fear forces outcomes which are defeatist and enslaving in our lives. Fear unfortunately is acting the way faith is suppose to act in the life of many Christians and they are not even conscious of it.Through the journey of examining why Christians exercise fear more than faith in this book I was brought to an even greater truth. The struggle between fear and faith in the hearts and minds of Christians is not going well. Many Christians’ life have been limited or even become ineffective because they have lost the war with fear in their hearts. This book will expose you to the secret battle going on in your heart and mind anytime you are about to make a decision. This book will teach you how to uncover mysteries concerning life and the walk of faith. It will also teach you how to hold on to faith results until what is hoped for is manifested in the flesh. It will show you the things fear hide behind to wreak havoc. It will also expose all the imitators of faith in your life and lead you to regain your authority in Christ.May the awesome power of God which surpasses all power be your portions as your faith guides you through the pages of this book. ABOUT THE AUTHORAlexander Gyimah Agyemang is teacher of the word with unique insights into scriptures. Having read through the Bible by age fifteen (15)he is a man of the word.He operates in prophetic teachings. ON THE BORDER OF EXISTENCE-THE EDGE OF HOPE: The Church of Liminal Migrants Wrestles with God for her Wounded Children

by Nameeta Renu

It is a real concern that the phenomena of migration and liminality are so widespread around the world and involve millions of human beings. In this context, the pastoral-spiritual question of suffering keeps unsettling us and has caused theodicy to emerge. What is the Christian response to one’s own suffering, and to those who suffer? Is it one of hope or resignation to fate? We begin a journey through this book, as it will gradually reveal how millions continue to leave their homeland with an embryo of “hope” in their hearts, growing into an Epiphany of God-with-us, and crying for timely pastoral care that will concretely respond to their liminal state.

The Epic of Kings- Hero Tales of Ancient Persia (Wisehouse Classics - The Authoritative Edition)

by Ferdowsi Tusi, Abuʾl-Qasim

The Shahnameh, also transliterated as Shahnama (“The Book of Kings”), is a long epic poem written by the Persian poet Ferdowsi between c. 977 and 1010 CE and is the national epic of Greater Iran. Consisting of some 50,000 “distichs” or couplets (2-line verses), the Shahnameh is the world's longest epic poem written by a single poet. It tells mainly the mythical and to some extent the historical past of the Persian Empire from the creation of the world until the Islamic conquest of Persia in the 7th century. Today Iran, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan and the greater region influenced by the Persian culture (such as Georgia, Armenia, Turkey and Dagestan) celebrate this national epic. The work is of central importance in Persian culture, regarded as a literary masterpiece, and definitive of the ethno-national cultural identity of modern-day Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan. It is also important to the contemporary adherents of Zoroastrianism, in that it traces the historical links between the beginnings of the religion with the death of the last Sassanid ruler of Persia during the Muslim conquest and an end to the Zoroastrian influence in Iran.

A Second Adam: How the Doctrine of Recapitulation Helps Make Sense of the Atonement

by Cody Cook

The idea of Jesus initiating a second humanity and new creation by His incarnation, death, and resurrection is an important but often undervalued emphasis in the New Testament (especially in Paul) and in patristic theology (particularly in Irenaeus). In A Second Adam, Cody Cook presents this doctrine, called Recapitulation, as a biblical, ancient, and ecumenical model of the atonement which is simultaneously more balanced than the more popular models while also getting us to their most important insights.

Christus Victor, Satisfaction, Penal Substitutionary, Liberation, and theosis models of soteriology are shown to be imbalanced when taken as central models, but can all be held in harmony when starting from Recapitulation. This model is shown to have great promise for future ecumenical dialogue as well as for challenging the imbalances of all of the major Christian traditions.

What Is the Relationship between Church and State? (Crucial Questions)

by R.C. Sproul

In the United States, people often hear the phrase “separation of church and state.” Many assume this means the government should rule without taking God into account. But that idea is a distortion of the truth. In this booklet, Dr. R.C. Sproul explains where the government ultimately gets its authority: from God Himself. God ordained the state to protect life and promote justice. Christians must respect and honor their earthly authorities but at the same time remember that God is the highest authority of all.The Crucial Questions booklet series by Dr. R.C. Sproul offers succinct answers to important questions often asked by Christians and thoughtful inquirers.

Assent in the City

by Clinton LeFort

IntroductionHello and thank you for picking up a copy of Assent in the City.[1] Well, I thank you for entering this space and being interested in what I have to say while I make my way, along with so many others on this Journey of Faith. We all have time on our hands as well as I and one of the great joys of having this time as a gift from Our Lord Jesus Christ, into share the fruit of our labors with others. I’ve enjoyed doing this in the past. Assent in the City is planned to be a book which can be picked up at any time in the day to find some kind of inspiration as you ascend this path of faith and follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Assent in the City is meant to keep you on the right path and at some points present you with ideas that are more or fewer toys you can use to gain a perspective on your own journey. I only imagine you, too, though we are hundreds or thousands of miles away, have the same vocabulary of faith we use to speak our hearts to Jesus. I imagine in this conversation thru Assent in the City that you possibly find some treasures which you can share with others. If for whatever reason after reading this introduction you decide not to travel along with me as I share my experiences and thoughts in Assent in the City I only hope we will meet again one day when Jesus will take us both to that happy place we all long to arrive at the end of our journey. On the other hand, if you decide that you would like to share in the conversation and the ongoing dialogue with me and my companions, we will all be so happy you have found us worthy of your time and attention. Come on in and make yourself at home, since whatever has been given to me I’m happy to share with you also. Let us walk together for a while and listen to what the Master has to say in his teachings an in his work among us since He has told us “my Father is at work until now, so I am at work.” (Jn. 5:17) As we share this conversation in the Church in the form of these Assent in the City, let us also join in working with the Father and Jesus in the world.Daily we are asked to place our faith in Christ and to assent to his teachings. Our assent to the truth of Christ makes us better persons and a people who walk in the light, but there are consequences we must pay for living in the light. We have to live in the midst of a world which has "turned its back" on the truth. This is the world that assents to itself as the origin and end of its efforts. Christ promised that he would not leave us orphaned, but he would be with us until the end of our faith journey. OUr living the faith is his living in us and our living in him is our living thru the power of the Spirit. The reflection that is to follow is an approach to the faith while living in the city. We still ascend to the truth by constant efforts in our daily life, but our assent to the truth is an assent of our will that is empowered by the power of love and of the charity of Christ.

True History of the Camino de Santiago: The Stranger-than-Fiction Tale of the Typo that Invented Spain and the Biblical Loser Who Became a Legend

by Cameron Powell

There are good reasons you might want to walk the Way of St. James -- but St. James himself is surely not one of them.As this satirical alternative history novella gets underway, a nameless narrator is walking the Camino de Santiago with his mother. He’s divorcing from his wife, his mom’s cancer is back, and he’s hungry for meaning. But he knows “next to nothing” about his mother’s plan to make him walk 500 miles. He knows the Camino began around the reign of King Alfonso II - “whom responsible historians surely call The Fonz” - in the 9th century, and that, in the New Testament, Jesus referred to James and his brother John as "Sons of Thunder".  Whoa. Jesus gave out nicknames? But why ‘Sons of Thunder’? Were they like Riverdancers? Expert drummers? No, the "most probable" reason, per a Bible commentary well-known among people who know their Bible commentaries, was that there was "something fervid, and glowing, and powerful in their genius and eloquence."But then, late one night on the trail, Cameron and a mad Spaniard named Julio discover an ancient codex inscribed: “The Codex of Alfonso II, King of Asturias”.Julio looked at me, eyes wide. “Will the world finally learn what happened?”“We are going to win a Nobel Prize,” I breathed. As they stay up all night to read the 9th-century Codex, it spills answers to all the burning questions of the thinking Camino pilgrim, including:Is there any chance at all that a Middle Eastern Jew's bones are in a crypt in Santiago de Compostela, Spain? Why, in the cathedrals along the Camino, are there so many portraits of St. James riding his horse over people?Did the legend of James in Spain -- and the nation of Spain, sort of -- really begin with a scribal error in an old manuscript -- the modern equivalent of a typo? We’re spirited to early 800s northwestern Spain, where King Alfonso II is in a pickle. Muslim armies have taken over most of Iberia, and now the Moors are lapping at his southern borders. The King is in dire need of revenue, and soldiers. A new priest offers a solution: pilgrims. All they need is a relic. Like splinters from the One True Cross, or, believe it or not, some Holy Foreskin. A body part from a saint. The King is all ears. There’s just one problem…“All the good saints are taken.”“What do you mean, ‘taken’?”“Well, there is this James fellow.”“What’s wrong with him?” the King asks, and so, of course, should you.The Bible tells us little about James. But it’s enough. In a brilliant, laugh-out-loud critique, the King’s canny court rabbi transports the reader to James’ curious appearances in the Gospels, where it becomes clear that James’ “genius and eloquence” were not at all what Jesus had in mind, and that even for the desperate king, James was probably, er, not among the top choices. From the author of the acclaimed memoir and Camino travelogue Ordinary Magic comes this irreverent, witty, but ultimately serious-minded fictionalization of the Camino’s true history. With crackling dialogue, historically accurate (and footnoted!) renderings of an alternative universe, and color illustrations such as Michelangelo’s Bartholomew in The Last Judgment, it’s that rare history of the Camino that’s funny, thought-provoking, and unforgettable.Cameron Powell tells you the history of the Camino de Santiago that has never, till now, been told. You’ll never think of James, the Camino, or the making of the stories you believe in the same way.AUTHOR INTERVIEW:Q: Who is this is juicy, erudite entertainment meant for?A:  History nerds, religious seekers, rational skeptics, thinking people, and anyone who likes Monty Python or thinks they might want to take a long walk on the Camino de Santiago.Q: Can we learn from any other historical source why Jesus really called James a “Son of Thunder”?A: No, you cannot.

How Science Reveals God: What Every Thinking Person Must Know

by Stephen Martin

In this book, Amazon bestselling author of “Life After Death, Powerful Evidence You Will Never Die” uses five scientific points to refute popular arguments put forth by atheists and adherents to Scientific Materialism that God does not exist:1. Evidence showing that the material universe had a beginning. 2. Evidence showing that, from its beginning, the universe was been “finely tuned” to allow for the possibility of life.3. Evidence from biology showing that after the universe came into being, large amounts of genetic information similar to computer code came about in DNA that made, and continue to make, life possible.4. Evidence from research conducted at the University of Virginia School of Medicine showing that the brain does not create consciousness, but rather, that the brain can be compared to a cell phone or a radio that receives consciousness that originates somewhere else, and then integrates it with the body.5. Evidence from quantum mechanics and a number of other sources that consciousness or mind—the medium of thought—is nonlocal and appears to be present everywhere. In the aggregate, what Martin will show is that high school and college textbooks produced and studied over the past hundred or so years are woefully incorrect that propagate Scientific Materialist dogma stating that:1. Nothing in the universe exists except material substance.2. The universe and life came about by chance.3. Evolution came about solely through random mutations and the mechanism of “survival of the fittest” or “natural selection.” 4. Consciousness and intelligence did not exist until evolution produced a brain. In the final chapter, Martin draws two conclusions that he writes are clearly supported by the evidence. They are that God—or “Infinite Mind,” which is the other term he uses—not only was the “First Cause” but also continues to be involved in our universe today. He then presents his thoughts about the nature of God and the meaning and purpose of life based on information that comes from what appears to be a legitimate and credible modern psychic source.Martin believes the time has come to recall and recycle the millions of textbooks still in circulation that spread the erroneous tenets of Scientific Materialism. His hope and intention is that science and spirituality will bury the hatchet and become supportive of one another and that this book will play a significant role in bringing that about. In making his case, Martin references the works of the following scientists, researchers, and authors: Drew Westen, Jonathan Haidt, Rupert Sheldrake, Stephen Meyer, James Watson, Francis Crick, Stanley Miller, Harold Urey, (Miller-Urey experiment), Claude Elwood Shannon, Charles Darwin, Ben Stein, Ernest Lester Smith, Cotton Mather, Thomas Hobbes, Albert Einstein, Raymond Chiao, Henry P. Conversations with the Faithful: Seeking Enlightenment Over Lunch

by Kerry Parry

Life without faith is a precarious way to exist. This was the position of a wannabe believer, Kerry Parry, who grew up in a family that believed religion was like sex. It was something you had to figure out on your own.Her parents, who had left their own faiths of Mormonism and Evangelicalism, believed they were doing a favor to their children by shielding them from the trappings of religion. While skipping church had its benefits growing up, it left Kerry feeling adrift. She had no faith to hold onto during times of trouble. Even as a young girl, she envied those who were grounded within a community of believers.A series of events—including a one-way conversation with her dead grandmother and a job loss—set Parry on a spiritual journey. After decades of feeling like an outsider, she wanted to understand and obtain the kind of faith she saw in others. She would begin a quest to speak with the faithful.Parry questioned friends, relatives, and strangers about their beliefs. She sought people of diverse religious experiences, who practiced, depended upon, and demonstrated a faith that, in Parry’s mind, made them extraordinary. In this diverse and creative non-fiction account, Kerry Parry takes us along on her journey– from a fog of doubt to a path of discovering authentic personal faith. She shares her “conversations with the faithful” and what, in the process, she learns about religion and belief.

The Values of Independent Hip-Hop in the Post-Golden Era: Hip-Hop’s Rebels

by Christopher Vito

Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, this book uncovers the historical trajectory of U.S. independent hip-hop in the post-golden era, seeking to understand its complex relationship to mainstream hip-hop culture and U.S. culture more generally.  Christopher Vito analyzes the lyrics of indie hip-hop albums from 2000-2013 to uncover the dominant ideologies of independent artists regarding race, class, gender, sexual orientation, and social change. These analyses inform interviews with members of the indie hip-hop community to explore the meanings that they associate with the culture today, how technological and media changes impact the boundaries between independent and major, and whether and how this shapes their engagement with oppositional consciousness. Ultimately, this book aims to understand the complex and contradictory cultural politics of independent hip-hop in the contemporary age.

God Talking: Big Brain Stephen Hawking Went to His Grave Proclaiming “God is the Real Deal”

by Dave Masko

God Talking, by Dave Masko. God does not play dice and is the real deal. For instance, Techies asked a computer, “Is there God?” while the computer answered with, “There is God now!” But, no worries because the “real” non-tech God knows why you’re suffering; while your inner voice is God Talking, say Native American elders here at the sacred Brays Point Oregon coastal location on a bright and sunny April 9, 2019 day. “This Trump World is crumbling around us, and that is why we look to this triumphant phenomenon of God Talking if we just listen? By listening I mean a personal connection to that voice inside that only you know. It’s your secret and its part and parcel of why you long for spirituality and compassion in this dark time of too much technology mind control with evil Donald Trump taking advantage of this darkness,” said Henry Silva, a retired member of The Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians who once inhabited a coastal range from southwest Washington and central Oregon to northern California where “God once ruled with compassion and empathy,” added Silva, 87, whose eye sight may be fading but “I know God talked to your readers because I can feel it!” The old Tribal Council leader said he was shocked when famed physicist Stephen Hawking said there is no God and then retracted that skewed belief before Professor Hawking death in March 2018 at the age of 76. The British scientist exclaimed, just a month prior to his passing, that the big bombshell today in this so-called digital age is the “uncertainty principle,” that “this reality might be known to God… thus it seems that God is bound by the Uncertainty Principle and now we know God,” added Hawking who, for centuries, believed that disabled people such as himself were more or less “living under a curse that was inflicted by God,” added Professor Hawking who suffered from Lou Gehrig’s Disease for most of his life. Still, the wise old man died while still working on a book that reversed Professor Hawking’s lack of belief in God because he discovered: “There are forms of intelligent life out there God created,” he writes of this “phenomena is God taking.” While Professor Hawking believed the Earth was on the brink of a “vast transformative change” he said that would only take place when cold soul tech addicts find the real side of life once one starts talking and listening to God’s voice inside your head; while Professor Hawking wrote his final words with this message in 2019 that “He’s (God) asking us not to go into the future blindly… talk to God.” This special “new journalism” e-book spotlights the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of God exerting new forces in relation to actually talking to you directly. “Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet,” asserted Professor Hawking when finally meeting the Creator. “My sweet Lord, my Lord, I really want to see you, really want to be with you, really want to see you, Lord but it takes so long, my Lord. My sweet Lord,” sang Professor Hawking’s late friend, the Beatle George Harrison who also said he talked to God “many times.”

Self, God and Immortality: A Jamesian Investigation (American Philosophy Book 12)

by Eugene Fontinell

Can we who have been touched by the scientific, intellectual, and experimental revolutions of modern and contemporary times still believe with and degree of coherence and consistency that we as individual persons are immortal. Indeed, is there even good cause to hope that we are? In examining the present relationship of reason to faith, can we find justifying reasons for faith? These are the central questions in Self, God, and Immortality, a compelling exercise in philosophical theology. Drawing upon the works of William James and the principles of American Pragmatism, Eugene Fontinell extrapolates carefully from "data given in experience" to a model of the cosmic process open to the idea that individual identity may survive bodily dissolution. Presupposing that the possibility of personal immortality has been established in the first part, the second part of the essay is concerned with desirability. Here, Fontinell shows that, far from diverting attention and energies from the crucial tasks confronting us here and now, such belief can be energizing and life enhancing. The wider importance of Self, God, and Immortality lies in its pressing both immortality-believers and terminality-believers to explore both the metaphysical presuppositions and the lived consequences of their beliefs. It is the author's expressed hope that such explorations, rather than impeding, will stimulate co-operative efforts to create a richer and more humane community.

ESOTERIC ALCHEMY: Hermetic Initiation in the Golden Dawn Tradition: Exorcism of the Neophyte & Path to Adepthood (YOGA OF THE WEST: The Tehuti Manuscripts Book 1)

by Frater R.C.

Concerning the Nature of Excorcism and Sanctification Through the Harmony of the Universe Enacted Upon the Candidate By the Movement from Darkness to Light___________The following introduction to the initiation in the Hall of Dual Manifestation, also called the Hall of Two Truths, the Hall of Maat, will take a fittingly dual perspective. By understanding the general, and what is in the broadest and a very vague sense an Eleusinian rite, polarities of darkness and light as means of illustrating the conscious awakening or re-awakening of the human being to its ontological nature through a clarification of mission the introduction will prepare the reader for seeing this analysis of ritual in the correct way. While such a preface is not stipulatory, it is functional, especially in regards to the composite form the initiation is in.

The Collected Writings of the Practical Catholic Junto

by The Spaniard

The Practical Catholic Junto exists for the betterment of each member and, through the actions of the membership, all of society. Although we are a lay organization, we follow the moral teachings of the Catholic Church in forming our consciences and our activities. Each member is required to be a practicing Catholic, as understood by the Church and as agreed upon generally by the body of the membership. Each member is also required to periodically submit a written essay to the junto, and to contribute articles and posts to our blog. This book contains 22 essays written by various members of the Junto.More about our Junto:We have five Principles. They are: Moral Action, Obedience to the Magisterium, Intellectual Formation, Anonymous Philanthropy, and Security. As modern day Americans we are aware of the various struggles to retain strong Catholic practices in an everyday society of secular progressivism, at the personal level and in our interactions with our workplaces and our government. We believe, however, that such a balance is possible and moreover even obligatory. How to promote the dignity and freedom of each human person in a culture which increasingly devalues the same? How to remain patriotic to our country while our government insists on taking over more and more of our daily decisions? How to ensure that we and our families are free to practice our religion, without instigating, or being defeated by, violence? The Practical Catholic Junto exists to study and answer these questions from the viewpoint of the American Catholic.

Constitutional Authority in a Postmodern Culture

by Martin Murphy

This book shows the validity of constitutional authority and the invasion of postmodern theories in western culture. Postmodern theory has assaulted the western culture on the battleground of absolute truth and reality. If there is no absolute, independent and manifestly defined truth, there is no God. Without God human beings will not understand the purpose of life. Postmodern theory places human experience over abstract objective principles. Postmodernists insist that reality is constructed in the individual mind and must be interpreted relative to each individual. Postmodern theory explains reality based on our perception of all cultural milieu. Christians have a constitution known as the Bible so they will know the truth of reality.

Morals Not Knowledge: Recasting the Contemporary U.S. Conflict between Religion and Science

by John H. Evans

A free ebook version of this title is available through Luminos, University of California Press’s Open Access publishing program for monographs. Visit www.luminosoa.org to learn more. In a time when conservative politicians challenge the irrefutability of scientific findings such as climate change, it is more important than ever to understand the conflict at the heart of the “religion vs. science” debates unfolding in the public sphere. In this groundbreaking work, John H. Evans reveals that, with a few limited exceptions, even the most conservative religious Americans accept science’s ability to make factual claims about the world. However, many religious people take issue with the morality implicitly promoted by some forms of science. Using clear and engaging scholarship, Evans upends the prevailing notion that there is a fundamental conflict over the way that scientists and religious people make claims about nature and argues that only by properly understanding moral conflict between contemporary religion and science will we be able to contribute to a more productive interaction between these two great institutions.

Rebuilding a Lazy Testimony: True Story of One Who Rekindles a Relationship with God After a Loved One Leaves the LDS Church (Memoirs This Side of a Mormon Faith Crisis Book 1)

by Taft Givens

Having a loved one turn his back on the faith we embraced through our formative years forced me to honestly reflect on things I had never dared to question before. My journey through my thoughts and with my brother would take me into places I did not expect to go—places that were simultaneously painful as well as uplifting. I would find myself covered in dirt from everything anti-Mormonism has had to throw at me, but I would also find myself shielded and renewed by gaining a deeper understanding of the beautiful truths surrounding The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.I can now see why people fall away from being faithful members of the church. There are a variety of reasons, all of which I now have a much better understanding. I say I have a better understanding, but that does not mean I agree. I do not.It is also easy to see why many relationships do not survive the changes that so often come when a loved one leaves the faith. This not a fun story. This book is not like the fiction I write where the plot gets thicker as it goes but everyone ends up peachy in the end. Most of this book is the story of two inseparable brothers who go through something so difficult we have to rebuild our relationship from the ground up and, unfortunately, that relationship is never quite the same. This book is also a personal journey of discovering for myself what it means to have an intimate relationship with my Father in Heaven. And for large portions of this book, I abandon the storyline altogether in order to answer questions I have posed for myself and sort out my jumble of thoughts. Does God even exist? What is religion? Is religion actually important if I consider my spiritual journey to be something personal? What are the aspects of my own religion that I find indispensable and beautiful? My prayer is that some people will take this story to heart in a way that they can gain for themselves some of the lessons I have learned as they take part in my journey. My hope is that some people can learn from what I have experienced in order to avoid some of the same mistakes I made and sidestep the need to walk the same route. My desire is that someone might read my story and discover a reason to stay in the faith despite the fact that they do not have all the answers.

However, for one to glean any reasonable depth of understanding of this highly esoteric section of text one must not only use the original Hebrew version but also be guided by experts in this text. Therefore, the guidance from the great teachers and Rabbinic Torah scholars throughout the last 3000 years is essential to understand and interpret this text correctly. This book is an attempt to parallel the latest scientific understanding of our universe with Rabbinic commentary which pre-dates the Scientific Revolution of the late 16th century.

Secrets of Ancient Tibet, 6,000 B.C.

by M.G. Hawking

Explore Ancient Tibet and its Profound Secret Knowledge. The civilization of ancient Tibet—the lost kingdom of Zhang Zhung and its legendary tradition of sorcery and true magic—is among the least known and most irritatingly mysterious obscurities of history. Very little of its past has been deciphered and orthodox scholarship stands before Zhang Zhung in deeper darkness today than that which shrouded the Egypt of the Pharaohs before Champollion. Archaeologists debate what the ancient civilization on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau actually was, when it came, and whence it came. Doubtless many chapters of Tibet’s ancient history will lie forever silent under her remote and desolate soil, yet extant traditions have perhaps been too readily set aside; academic pedants love to brand as mythical the accounts which have endured the millennia, and which mischievously persist. The study of antiquity is properly accounted worthless except as it may be made living knowledge which illuminates and enriches our contemporary life. Owing to a remarkable series of events in an isolated region of the Himalayas, I encountered an extraordinary group of people and, through those encounters, was privileged to learn that much of the secret knowledge of the ancient Zhang Zhung culture has not only been preserved, it is powerful, richly illuminating, and utilized to this day. As the reader will discover, these shrouded secrets formulate the explorations in this book. As one of their most illuminating concepts, those traditions relate that there is a group of esoteric teachings—the ‘Four Portals’—which set forth the true nature of physical reality and techniques of powerful elemental magic, or “sorcery.” The first traces of the teachings are thought to have appeared as part of the lore of the pre-Tibetan culture that arose in Tibet several thousand years ago, but may have originated far earlier. Being a forbidden body of knowledge, said to convey enormous powers, the teachings disappear from the historical record for countless centuries, not to reemerge until the 7th century A.D. in the arcane scriptures of the pre-Buddhist B’on religion. According to those ancient traditions, the teachings of the ‘Four Portals’ were formulated by the earliest known “Buddha-like” master, Tonpa Shenrab Miwoche. The B’on traditions relate this historic event as occurring as early as 16,000 B.C. Although still shrouded in mystery, our most recent research indicates that the extant evidence places the earliest date of the Zhang Zhung culture at about 6,000 B.C., although the date of 16,000 B.C. may indicate the existence of a true Zhang Zhung or pre-Zhang Zhung culture existing prior to the ‘Younger Dryas Boundary’ cataclysmic event that effectively erased early civilizations from the historical record. Much like our most recent historical Buddha, Shenrab renounced his life as a prince of the royal family to become a monk. Over a period of “many years,” the traditions relate, he gained access to secret knowledge that had been imparted, recorded, and hidden away some two-thousand years earlier by an entity known as “Gekhoe.” With this knowledge Shenrab achieved enlightenment and “otherworldly powers,” then later composed a comprehensive body of teachings to instruct qualified seekers on the means and techniques of attaining the most elevated wisdom and power. That secret knowledge is revealed and explored in this book.2017 Release, Kindle e-reader page count 238 (estimated, actual count varies with the reading device used). A Kindle Unlimited Book. The Scientific Face of Kabbalah: Unmasking the Mystery.

by Fenster Ph.D., Abraham N.

When you hear the word Kabbalah, you likely think of esoteric, mystical incantations. But according to Abraham N. Fenster, the author of The Scientific Face of Kabbalah—Unmasking the Mystery, there’s nothing mysterious about this ancient school of thought. Contrary to popular belief, Kabbalah isn’t a religion—it’s a method of explaining the science behind the spiritual universe. In a work that seeks to bridge the gap between science and the soul, you’ll find a sound analysis of the earliest Kabbalists, who based their concepts of spiritual life on scientific principles that the greatest minds today now believe to be true about our physical universe. In other words, you can understand the cosmos, and the information has been around for more than three millennia. This treatise offers you all of the following—and more:An introduction to KabbalahA review of the science of KabbalahAn explanation of how the cosmos worksA discussion of the Sefer Yetzirah (Book of Creation), the foundational cosmological work in KabbalahMost importantly, you’ll discover that, thanks to technological development, this generation is ready for a revelatory encounter with the true Kabbalah. Are you prepared to enter the age-old conversation between science and spirituality?

Breaking the Silence: Taking a stand for life, liberty, and all things good

by J Nicole Williamson

We are in a new move of God that some are calling the New American Revolution or even a new Civil War. George Barna calls it the second coming of the Church! Though the Church has lost much of her influence in American culture, there is a remnant rising with a strong voice for life, liberty, and true justice. Many Christians have been afraid to speak out about cultural issues, whether because of fear, not knowing what to say or do, or convinced their role is to simply wait for the rapture. Others have misunderstood the truth of what is really meant about separation of Church and state and so have ignored their responsibility of being a citizen of heaven and of earth! But God is calling His people to be bold, be informed, and be involved to bring His love, goodness, and righteousness back to society for the healing of a nation. This book gives powerful key insights into current issues and the spiritual warfare behind them, along with prayer and practical action steps you can take to make a difference for this generation and those to come!

Beyond Good and Evil (Golden Deer Classics) [The Classics Collection #04]

by Friedrich Nietzsche

Downloadin EPUB format, also available for Kindle or in PDFBeyond Good and Evil (German: Jenseits von Gut und Böse), subtitled "Prelude to a Philosophy of the Future" (Vorspiel einer Philosophie der Zukunft), is a book by the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, first published in 1886.It takes up and expands on the ideas of his previous work, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, but approached from a more critical, polemical direction. In Beyond Good and Evil, Nietzsche attacks past philosophers for their alleged lack of critical sense and their blind acceptance of Christian premises in their consideration of morality. The work moves into the realm "beyond good and evil" in the sense of leaving behind the traditional morality which Nietzsche subjects to a destructive critique in favour of what he regards as an affirmative approach that fearlessly confronts the perspectival nature of knowledge and the perilous condition of the modern individual.
