The bigger and taller the player is, the bigger his position was. Players 6'9" or taller would usually play the power forward and center positions. And naturally, smaller players usually play either guard positions. This has been the case since basketball was first invented. Those who are taller have the natural advantage near the basket while those who are shorter are usually quicker and more mobile than other players. However, over the last handful of decades, the NBA has seen its share of generational talents that play entirely different styles than what people would expect based on their size. You see players that look like they play the forward positions playing guard. And there are those that are listed as wing players who act more like playmakers whenever they are on the floor. Considered as "big guards," these players may look like your conventional forwards or wings but have the skill set of point guards. They run like guards, handle the ball like playmakers, and run plays for the entire team like they are six feet tall. Using their superior size, such players have become matchup nightmares in the NBA. Considered the very first big guard, Oscar Robertson had the size of a wing player back in the ‘60s and early ‘70s but played more like a point guard. Using his size, he could bully his way to the basket, score over the top of the defense, rebound at a high rate, and make plays for his teammates. That is why Oscar Robertson was the first and only player in more than five decades to average a triple-double.During the ‘80s, we saw the arrival of Earvin "Magic" Johnson. At almost 6'9", he was basically as big as a power forward but had the skills of an all-time great point guard. Because he was basically a head taller than all of his matchups but just as mobile as any other point guard, it was easy for him to see over the top of the defense and get from one point to another to make plays at a high rate for his teammates.Tags: Ben Simmons biography, Philadelphia 76ers basketball, Ben Simmons book, books for basketball fans, Joel Embiid

by Julie Johnson

#1 BEST SELLER IN HUMOROUS FICTION!

Gemma Summers is unlucky in love.

But when a random radio call-in contest lands her courtside tickets to the hottest playoff game of the season, Gemma’s luck may finally be on the upswing — even if it doesn’t exactly seem like it when the dreaded jumbotron kiss-cam lands on her and her date, who’s too busy ignoring her to notice…

Chase Croft doesn’t date.

One kiss. Two strangers. No strings attached.

Yuri: Greek. Biker. Billionaire.

by Marian Tee

His name was Yuri Athanas.
They called him the golden boy of the Afxisi, a college org during the day and an underground racing club at night.
Like his brothers, Yuri was rich, powerful, gorgeous, and devastatingly sexy.
Unlike his brothers, Yuri did not leave a trail of broken hearts behind him.
Yuri was the angel amidst all the other Greek devils, they said.
I liked hearing that about him. It gave me hope that when we do meet again, he would remember his promise, and he would keep it.
He would take one look at me and he wouldn’t mind that I wasn’t…okay.
He wouldn’t mind I wasn’t…normal.
If he was everything I prayed he would be, he’d take one look at me and love me, like he had promised.

While some stories sound almost like fairytales, they are all based on true historical facts. by Kiril Valtchev

He is widely regarded as one of the biggest sports icons in the world and his name is recognized by almost any sports enthusiasts. From his unbelievable god given athletic ability, to his sportsmanship, character and leadership, Lebron is the type of player most dream to be. A preview of what you will read. ___________________________________________________________________* High School Journey ( Freshman through Senior Year )* Stats of all his high school games* Detailed info about his NBA Career, winning his first, second and third ring* Endorsements and Earnings* Off The Court* Pictures of Lebron_____________________________________________________________________An excerpt from the book:With the first pick in the 2003 NBA draft the Cleveland Cavaliers select Lebron James. Cleveland fans would never forget those words. There was much speculation whether or not Lebron would be the first pick in the NBA draft. Lebron was happy to stay home and play for his hometown team. His main focus would be to turn the Cleveland franchise around and take them to the NBA finals. It would be the start of an era that would ignite the Quicken Loans arena for decades to come. The endorsements, fans and critics came pouring in his first season with the Cavs. In his very first game against the Sacramento Kings, Lebron scored 25 points and set a NBA record for the most points scored by debut player. He was absolutely explosive in his first game. The crowd loved to watch him because he played the game with a tenacity and desire to win. Lebron went on to average 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game in his first season with the Cavaliers. He had a season high of 41 points on 3/27/2004 against the New Jersey Nets and it showed everyone that the kid from Akron was here to stay and make his mark on the game. It was no question that Lebron had talent, but would he be able to turn the Cavaliers around? The Cavs ended the season with a record of 35-47 and failed to make the playoffs. Even though they failed to make the playoffs, with Lebron on the roster, they had a massive 18 game improvement from the previous year. It became apparent that he was there to improve the dynamic of the team and push everyone around him to perform better.

Spiders Fun Facts: 25 Facts With Real Images For The Most Incredible Article about Spiders You'll Ever Read For Kids & Adults

by A.K. Williams

Spiders (request Araneae) are air-breathing arthropods that have eight legs and chelicerae with teeth ready to infuse venom. They are the biggest request of the 8-legged creature and rank seventh in absolute species decent variety among all requests of living beings. Spiders are discovered worldwide on each landmass aside from Antarctica and have turned out to be set up in almost every living space with the special cases of air and ocean colonization. As of November 2015, no less than 45,700 arachnid species, and 113 families have been recorded by taxonomists. Nonetheless, there has been dispute inside mainstream researchers with respect to how every one of these families ought to be characterized, as of confirming by the more than 20 unique orders that have been proposed since 1900. Anatomically, arachnids vary from different arthropods in that the standard body fragments are melded into two tagmata, the cephalothorax, and stomach area, and joined by a little, tube-shaped pedicel. In contrast to creepy crawlies, insects don't have to receive wires. In all with the exception of the crudest gathering, the Mesothelae, creepy crawlies have the most unified sensory systems all things considered, as all their ganglia are intertwined into one mass in the cephalothorax. In contrast to most arthropods, spiders have no extensor muscles in their appendages and rather expand them by water-powered weight. Their mid-regions bear members that have been altered into spinnerets that expel silk from up to six sorts of organs. Spider catching networks shift broadly in size, shape and the measure of sticky string utilized. It currently creates the impression that the winding sphere web might be one of the most punctual structures, and creepy crawlies that produce tangled webs are more plenteous and differing than circle web insects. A spider-like 8-legged creature with silk-delivering nozzles showed up in the Devonian time frame around 386 million years prior, however, these creatures evidently needed spinnerets. Genuine creepy crawlies have been found in Carboniferous rocks from 318 to 299 million years back, and are fundamentally the same as the crudest enduring suborder, the Mesothelae. The fundamental gatherings of present-day insects, Mygalomorphae and Araneomorphae, first showed up in the Triassic time frame, before 200 million years back.

Emphatic (Soul Serenade Book 1)

by Kaylee Ryan

There comes a point in your life where you have to say enough is enough.

I wasted my college years on a guy who played with my head, played with my heart. I was blinded by the fairytale, the one that didn’t exist.

The day I gave up on the idea of happily ever after, my focus became me. Moving forward and establishing my career.

Until one day…

I didn’t expect him. My new boss, a six foot two, inked rock god. I believed I was working for the record label, I was wrong.

It’s impossible for me to keep my distance, believe me I’ve tried. He’s not who I expected him to be. He’s so much more he’s…Emphatic

Snakes: 30 Fun Facts That You should Know about Snakes

by A.K. Williams

Snakes are lengthened, legless, flesh-eating reptiles of the suborder Serpentes. Like all different squamates, snakes are ectothermic, amniote vertebrates canvassed in covering scales. Numerous types of snakes have skulls with a few a bigger number of joints than their reptile precursors, empowering them to swallow prey a lot bigger than their heads with their profoundly portable jaws. To suit their tight bodies, snakes' matched organs, (for example, kidneys) seem one before the other rather than one next to the other, and most have just a single practical lung. A few animal types hold pelvic support with a couple of minimal hooks on either side of the cloaca. Reptiles have developed stretch bodies without appendages or with incredibly decreased appendages around twenty-five times freely by means of joined advancement, prompting numerous heredities of legless reptiles. Legless reptiles look like snakes, yet a few normal gatherings of legless reptiles have eyelids and outer ears, which snakes need, despite the fact that this standard isn't all inclusive (see Amphisbaenia, Dibamidae, and Pygopodidae). Living snakes are found on each mainland with the exception of Antarctica, and on most littler land masses; exemptions incorporate some substantial islands, for example, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, the Hawaiian archipelago, and the islands of New Zealand, and numerous little islands of the Atlantic and focal Pacific seas. Furthermore, ocean snakes are broad all through the Indian and Pacific Oceans. In excess of 20 families are as of now perceived, including around 520 genera and around 3,600 species. They run in size from the little, 10.4 cm (4.1 in)- long Barbados string snake to the reticulated python of 6.95 meters (22.8 ft) long. The fossil species Titanoboa cerrejonensis was 12.8 meters (42 ft) long. Snakes are thought to have advanced from either tunneling or oceanic reptiles, maybe amid the Jurassic time frame, with the soonest realized fossils dating to somewhere in the range of 143 and 167 Ma prior. The assorted variety of present-day snakes showed up amid the Paleocene age (c 66 to 56 Ma back). The most seasoned protected portrayals of snakes can be found in the Brooklyn Papyrus.

All that changes one hot night when she comes to him with a proposition he can't resist -- she wants him to teach her to be submissive in the bedroom. Casey soon learns how very much she likes letting go of control to him. She's never been more turned on in her life than she is in Nate's arms. And he's never been more taken by a woman.
The only trouble is as she experiences what it means to let go, he starts to experience what it means to feel again...And the lessons in seduction threaten to turn into so much more than either one bargained for...

Breaking Ryann (Bad Boy Reformed 3)

by Alyssa Rae Taylor

It’s just like when we were kids, and I can no longer avoid him. I’ve accepted it, but what will it take to convince him that I am no longer his? Is that really what I want?

I told her I’d leave her alone. But who was I kidding? I’ve never been one to back away from a challenge. He stole my girl—my future—from me. I’m coming back with a vengeance. I’m taking back what he took from me. After all the secrets and lies, can we come back from this? Even if it breaks me, I’ll stop at nothing to protect what’s always been mine.

Author's note- Breaking Ryann is the final book in the Bad Boy Reformed Series. These books should be read in order. Due to strong language, violence, and sexual content this book is recommended for mature audiences.

The Vampire's Mail Order Bride: A Light, Funny Paranormal Romance (Nocturne Falls Book 1)

by Kristen Painter

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.
The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.

Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

After seeing her maybe-mobster boss murder a guy, Delaney James assumes a new identity and pretends to be a mail order bride. She finds her groom-to-be living in a town that celebrates Halloween every day. Weird. But not as weird as what she doesn’t know. Her groom-to-be is a 400-year-old vampire.

Hugh Ellingham has only agreed to the arranged set up to make his overbearing grandmother happy. In thirty days, whatever bridezilla shows up at his door will be escorted right back out. His past means love is no longer an option. Not if the woman’s going to have a future. Except he never counted on Delaney and falling in love for real.

Too bad both of them are keeping some mighty big secrets...
